AMS Accreditation
We are currently in the process of our American Montessori Society (AMS) Accreditation. Part of the accreditation process includes the 5 core components of a Montessori education.
Trained Montessori Teachers
Ms. Cat is AMS trained for Early Childhood, Elementary I, and Elementary II, (ages 3 years to 12 years). Future teachers and assistants of GEM will receive Montessori training.
Multi-Age Classroom
Our school holds classes for first through sixth grades in one classroom. As we grow, we will separate our first through third grades and our fourth through sixth grades.
Using Montessori Materials
Our classroom has Montessori materials that span the first through sixth grade age range in all curriculum areas.
Child-Directed Work
Our students are given many options to choose for their work and how they choose to do their work during the day.
Uninterrupted Work Periods
Our morning consists of at least 3 hours of uninterrupted work periods where our students can work at their own pace without interruptions.
